Sage VineyardsSage Vineyards was established in 1997 by Brian Malk and Bob Nugent. The 21 acre vineyard is atop Mt. Veeder in the Napa Valley at elevations ranging from 1,800 to 2,000 feet. Bob and Brian were excited about this site because it had all the essential ingredients for creating a superb wine: northeast to southwest exposure, well-drained volcanic soil and warm daytime temperatures which are cooled at night by maritime breezes from the San Francisco Bay. There are five varietals - Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec which will be blended utilizing classical hand-crafted winemaking techniques to create a world-class red wine.
